  • Felt Roofing with Coast to Coast RoofingAt Coast to Coast Roofing, we are happy to help you choose the best type of roofing for your flat roof. We are experts in felt roofing, liquid plastic roofing and Glass-Reinforced Plastic (GRP) roofing. We will give you the pros and cons of each type of flat roof solution so you can choose which you would like our roofers to install for you.

Our felt roofs come with either a 10, 15 or 20 year guarantee depending upon the type of felt used.  Felt roofing is an easy, effective solution due to its versatility. It is simple to cut felt to the size needed and nail it down, and it offers a good level of waterproofing which is generally maintained due to the fact that flat roofs are not affected by the weather as significantly as tall roofs.

Felt roof repairs are also straightforward, as roof felt can be cut to size to cover any damaged area of roof.

  • Glass Reinforced Plastic is another good option. Also known as fibreglass, it is lightweight yet extremely strong, as well as relatively cheap to manufacture, thereby saving you money. It comes as a roll of matting, which is laid across the roof, and fibreglass trims can then be added to the corners. GRP roofing is waterproof, so even in stormy weather it is unlikely to leak at all if laid properly.

  • Liquid Plastic is generally used on top of another type of roofing as a waterproofing technique. It can be used over GRP roofs as an additional measure to waterproof the roof, or just to change the colour of the roof without having to have it re-laid.
